UNIABITA - REALIZATION OF UNIVILLAGE IN SESTO SAN GIOVANNI:

Under Construction - Role of coordinator for Health and Safety in design and construction phases for both urbanization scheme and building construction. Director of works for building works and preparation of cadastral statements for the newly constructed units.

The area involved in the integrated intervention program is located in Cascina Gatti, Sesto San Giovanni, covering an area of about 240,000mq. The project involves the construction of a large cooperative village covering 43,000 mq, consisting of 257 residential apartments. Integrated into the scheme are internal roads, urban gardens, public common spaces, a nursery and a 172,000mq public park. The PII scheme also includes other buildings to be built on the same site by third parties.

The Studio uses its expertise in team coordination during both the design and construction phases, thanks to continued professional development, to prepare and update the Health and Safety plan which has been designed specifically for the type of work in progress. We are also undertaking the ongoing verification of all documentation and requirements of contractors and subcontractors, running twice-weekly site visits and imparting the necessary instructions to implement the performance in safety of production processes in execution and the preparation of the reports on the state of works.

Particular attention is also being reserved for the contemporary urbanization and building construction phases which have to be coordinated with neighboring building sites operated by third parties . Such conditions create the need to manage a lot of external interference, in order to enable the execution of all the works safely.

At the conclusion of the construction phase the studio prepare and present the cadastral drawings to the Inland Revenue for all new housing units built.
